Women’s Tennis Summer Update
June 19, 2017

The collegiate tennis season may be over, but members of the Ole Miss women’s tennis team continue to compete across the world in ITF Tournaments, as we take a look at what some of the Rebels have been up to this summer.

Title No. 2 for Hartono…
Rising senior Arianne Hartono finished her third year at Ole Miss ranked among the top teams in the nation with two different partners, including No. 25 with freshman Alexa Bortles. Last week, Hartono captured her second ITF Futures doubles title, teaming with Oklahoma’s Lily Miyazaki to win in Guimares, Portugal. Hartono also qualified for the singles in Portugal.

Not long after winning her second title, Hartono headed to her home country, the Netherlands, where she qualified for the singles at this week’s tournament in Alkmaar. Hartono will face Annick Melgers of the Netherlands in the first round, Tuesday.

Suk, Janatova reach finals in respective tournaments…
Natalie Suk, who will be a senior this upcoming year, made the semifinals of the 25k tournament in Star Splavy, Czech Republic two weeks ago. Last week, rising sophomore Tereza Janatova reached the finals of doubles in Prerov, Czech Republic with Natalie Novotna of Virginia Tech.
