Rohde-Moe Tops Norway Again Junior Netter Captures Norwegian Championship

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women’s tennis junior Caroline Rohde-Moe has had a whirlwind last couple of days, winning her home country’s championship this past weekend then catching an early flight to the United States Monday and arriving late that night for the start of the new school year.
Rohde-Moe, a native of Bloomenholm, Norway, captured the Norwegian Championship singles title on Sunday, defeating Melanie Stokke 6-4, 6-1. It marked the second time Rohde-Moe has won her native championship, also taking home the King’s Trophy in 2010.
“I will be a day late for school,” but it’s worth it,” said Rohde-Moe, moments after winning the title on Sunday.
Last year, Rohde-Moe earned All-SEC honors and helped lead the Rebels to a final national ranking of No. 18 and their fourth straight NCAA appearance. Off the court, she was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and made the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Rohde-Moe will be one of the leaders for the Rebels, who return five of the top seven from 2012, and welcome Swedish standout Marija Milutinovic.
