OXFORD, Miss. –
The Ole Miss volleyball team (3-1) will head to Jonesboro Arkansas this weekend to take part in the A-State Invitational at the Convocation Center.

The Rebels will open play against Virginia Tech Friday at 11 a.m. and continue with SMU at 4 p.m. Ole Miss concludes the tournament Saturday at 6:30 p.m. against host Arkansas State.

Ole Miss opened the season going 3-1 at the Rebel Invitational with wins over Louisiana Tech, Chattanooga and Florida A&M and a close loss to North Dakota State.

Quick Hits…
• Junior defensive specialist Caroline Adams and sophomore right side Emily Stroup were named to the All-Tournament Team. Adams paced the back row defense all weekend with an average of 4.62 digs per set which helped the Rebels post a league-leading 20.19 digs per set. Against North Dakota, Adams posted a career-high 31 digs, which ranks third all-time in a five set match. Stroup tallied 48 kills (3.00 per set) and hit .367 for the weekend.
• The Rebels posted a 25-point era single-match record of 110 kills against North Dakota.
• Under head coach Steven McRoberts, the Rebels are 42-4 in non-conference matches.
• Senior outside hitter Kate Gibson made history last Friday night, becoming the first member of the 1,000/1,000 club in the rally scoring era at Ole Miss. She recorded her 1,000th career dig to go with 1,000-plus kills. She averaged 3.44 kills and 4.00 digs per set for the weekend.
• Fellow senior outside hitter Lexi Thompson posted three double-doubles on the weekend to increase her career record to 37. She had 13 kills and 19 digs in the 3-2 win against Louisiana Tech, and then Sunday she posted 14 kills and 17 digs on a .312 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over Florida A&M. For the weekend, Thompson averaged 3.12 kills and 4.25 digs per set. 
• Thompson totaled 68 digs for the weekend, and now needs just 14 to join Gibson in the 1,000/1,000 club.
• Sophomore Nayo Warnell led the blocking attack with 0.94 blocks per set and also hit .357 in the four matches. In the win over Florida A&M, Warnell posted seven kills on a career-best .636 clip.
• Freshman Bayleigh Scott played in all four matches, and started the final two of the weekend. She totaled 17 kills and hit .424.
• Sophomore Jordan Fate and freshman Lauren Bars did a fine job taking over the setting duties. Bars totaled 115 assists, while Fate added 63. Both helped five players hit above .280 and four above .300 in a 3-0 win against Chattanooga. They helped four players hit above .300, including two at or above .400 in the 3-0 win vs. Florida A&M.
• Junior transfer Caitlin Wernentin contributed to the 3-1 start with 25 kills and hit .213.
