Aubrey Edie Named SEC Freshman of the Week Edie Set Ole Miss Single-Match Assists Record In Win Over LSU
Ole Miss setter Aubrey Edie was named the SEC Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

OXFORD, Miss. – Following her record-breaking performance in Ole Miss’ victory over LSU on Wednesday night, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Ole Miss setter Aubrey Edie was the SEC Freshman of the Week.
The Fayetteville, Ark., native passed out a career-high 61 assists Wednesday in the Rebels’ thrilling 3-2 (25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 16-14) victory over LSU in Ole Miss’ season finale. Edie’s 61 assists is a single-match program record at Ole Miss.
In addition to her 61 assists, Edie also had a team-high and career-high tying 16 digs against the Tigers, giving her a team-high eight double-doubles in her rookie year. Edie’s eight double-doubles this season was tied for the second most in the conference among rookies.
Edie finished the year with 949 assists, the fourth most in Ole Miss single-season history during the rally scoring era, and the most ever by a freshman.
