Riley Crowder to Compete in the 2025 UTR Sports Summer Championships

8/28/2025 | Women's Tennis

SAN DIEGO, Calif.  –  Ole Miss women's tennis freshman Riley Crowder is set to compete in the 2025 UTR Sports Summer Championships, which will take place from Aug. 29-Sept. 1 in San Diego, California.

"We're really excited to see Riley compete out in California this weekend," said head coach Grant Roberts. "She did a great job this summer qualifying for this event, and we're big fans of the UTR events, and this is a great opportunity for her to get a ton of quality matches."

Crowder qualified for the 2025 UTR Sports Summer Championships after winning a UTR Pro Summer Slam event in June, hosted by Wake Forest.

The Alabama native was the No. 1 recruit out of Alabama and won 11 junior ITF events, three of which were in singles, from 2022-24. She was also named the 2022 USTA Alabama State Junior and Southern Junior Player of the Year.

The tournament will include five guaranteed matches, with Crowder's first match starting tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. CT against Alejandra Cruz of Georgia Tech. She will also face off against Veronika Miroshnichenko of Loyola Marymount University at 6:00 p.m. CT.

Live scoring and live video for matches are available to the public. Links to both can be found above as well as on the social media platforms.
