No. 20 Women’s Golf Goes Back-to-Back with Win at Cougar Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The No. 20 Ole Miss women's golf team won their second straight tournament with a win at the Cougar Classic Tuesday. The Rebels posted (834, -18) with three players finishing inside the top 12.
Kajsalotta Svarvar led the way for Ole Miss at (203, -10). The sophomore set a new career best finish of second and a new career low 54-hole score. Her previous best of eight-under came last season at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah.
Mary Miller finished T7 at (209, -4). The Savannah, Georgia, native also tallied a new career low 54-hole score in Charleston.
Filippa Sundquist had a strong showing in the Palmetto State with rounds of 72-69-70 to shoot (211, -2). With her T12 finish, Sundquist cards back-to-back top 20 finishes to start fall action.
Sophie Linder, Matilda Björkman and Nicole Gal all grinded out over par scores at Yeamans Hall.
Ole Miss has now won back-to-back tournaments for the sixth time in program history with four coming under head coach Kory Henkes. It also marks the third win at the Cougar Classic under Henkes with prior wins coming in 2022 and 2023.
Ole Miss returns home and will prep for the Canadian Collegiate Invitational Sept. 22-23. Beacon Hall Golf Club will be the site for the two-day event.
