Brett Huber

Brett Huber is in his second season as a coordinator of operations for the Ole Miss baseball program after returning to the team at the start of the 2016 season. An Ole Miss pitcher from 2010-13, Huber joins Jeremy Massie as one of two coordinators of operations for the Rebels.
Huber manages all external affairs for Ole Miss Baseball, including the organization of team travel and recruiting visits. In his role, Huber also works closely with the Diamond Girls, the ambassadors for Ole Miss Baseball who help enhance the gameday experience for fans at home games.
As a four-year letterman for the Rebels, Huber collected 38 saves throughout his career, an Ole Miss record that ranks third all-time in SEC history. He recorded 12 saves during his freshman campaign to earn second team All-SEC and Freshman All-America honors. The right-hander combined for 14 saves during his sophomore and junior seasons before adding 12 more as a senior. In his final year at Ole Miss, Huber struck out 26 batters and held opponents to a .181 batting average against with a 1.54 ERA.
Drafted in the 31st round of the 2013 MLB Draft, Huber spent a year in the Detroit Tigers minor league system. Not only was Huber a Pro Reb on the field, but he also donated his time off the field as an active member of the Detroit Tigers Community Commitment program.
Huber returned to Oxford after working two years as a pitching coordinator and office administrator for the St. Louis Pirates baseball club, mentoring kids who wish to play college baseball following high school. He trained 42 pitchers who went on to earn scholarships to play baseball, including 18 Division I pitchers with seven of them competing in the SEC. Huber was the head coach of the organization’s 16-U team in 2014 before coaching the 17-U club in 2015; both teams were ranked top 15 nationally by Perfect Game.
Along with pitching for the Rebels, Huber earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss in 2013 as a Criminal Justice major. He succeeded in the classroom, earning a 3.08 GPA and becoming a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
