Two days later (June 29) on final global day of worldwide qualifying came narrowly close to qualifying standard and ranking score for Tokyo, running an Ole Miss record 3:35.79 at a last-chance meet in Spain ... Won silver medal at European U23 Championships in Tallinn, running 3:40.11 in the 1500-meter final ... First-Team All-American in the 1500-meter in fifth place at 3:38.66, one of two Rebel scorers (Waleed Suliman, third place) ... Finished fourth in the 1500-meter at the NCAA East Regional to punch his first career ticket to Eugene ... Scored at the SEC Championships with a fourth-place finish in the 1500 at 3:40.57 ... Ran 3:53.28 on the 1600-meter anchor leg ... Also earned All-American honors after a third-place finish in the NCAA 3K at 7:48.59 ... First Rebel men's athlete to score in multiple events at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... Eight NCAA Indoor points most by a Rebel indoors since Sam Kendricks finished NCAA runner-up in the pole vault in 2014 ... Helped lead the Rebel men to a program record 20 meet points and a 10th-place team finish, the best by a Rebel men's team indoors since 2001 (10th) ... Qualified for the NCAA East Region Championships in the 1500-meter and placed 42nd (3:59.50) ... Finished 10th in the 1500-meter at the SEC Outdoor Championships (3:51.75) ... Came in 39th at the Mt. SA Relays in the 5K (14:28.91) ... Opened the season by placing fifth in the 1500-meter at the Joe Walker Classic (3:44.69).
