OXFORD, Miss. -- Three Rebels put down double-digit kills - including a triple double from setter Amanda Philpot - but it wasn't enough to get a victory as Ole Miss (19-10, 13-7 SEC) fell to No. 21 Tennessee (23-6, 14-5 SEC) by a score of 3-1 (15-25, 25-13, 20-25, 20-25).

It was the second triple-double of the season for Philpot who tallied 11 kills, 33 assists and 11 digs on the afternoon. Allegra Wells paced the Rebel offense with a match-high 14 kills and five blocks, while Miranda Kitts added 11 kills in the match.

Freshman Kellie Goss also put down five blocks, including a solo block, while three Rebels came up with double-digit digs on the afternoon. Morgan Springer led the way with a match-high 16 digs, while Craven added 11 digs to go along with the 11 digs from Philpot.

"I thought we competed better today (than we did Friday night) against a very good Tennessee team," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. "We knew the kind of physicality they would bring to the floor and we did some good things by holding them to a low hitting percentage and limiting Nikki Fowler.

"It's a game of momentum, and we played with that at times in the second set. We have to do a better job of finding that momentum when teams start to push back at us like Tennessee did today."

Ole Miss jumped out to an early lead in the first set after back-to-back kills from Ashley Anderson sparked a run that took the Rebels out to a 9-4 lead and sent Tennessee into a timeout. The Lady Vols regrouped out of the pause in action, chipping away at the Rebel lead before claiming a 13-12 edge and sending Ole Miss to the bench in a timeout. The Rebels couldn't slow down the Tennessee attack, however, as the Lady Vols pushed out to a first set win 25-15.

The Rebels again took control of things to open the second set, pulling out to an 11-5 lead on the Lady Vols and sending Tennessee into a timeout. The Rebel lead continued to grow behind the serving of Philpot. The sophomore served with an authoritarian air as she put the ball in play for 12 consecutive points as part of a run that bamboozled the Tennessee squad. Ole Miss cruised through the set, tying the match at a set each with a 25-13 win in set two.

The third set was a back-and-forth struggle with two teams trading the lead until Tennessee snapped a 9-9 tie to pull out in front of the Rebels 12-9 and put the home team into a timeout. Ole Miss would hold the lead to within three most of the way before Tennessee slipped out to a five-point margin to claim the third frame 25-20.

The fourth set was more of the same with the squads trading points until Tennessee again snapped a tie at six with a kill and a block to move in front of the Rebels by two. Ole Miss fought back into the lead at 14-13 on back-to-back attack errors from the Lady Vols, but the lead was short-lived. Tennessee answered back with three straight kills to take a 16-14 lead. The Lady Vols would hold the advantage from there, claiming the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.

Ole Miss will now have a bye week as the rest of the Southeastern Conference finishes out the regular-season. The Rebels will await the announcement of the field of 64 for the NCAA Tournament on ESPNU at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28.
