Comeback Falls Short for Soccer Against Lipscomb

Late Attack Not Enough for Rebels on the Road
NASHVILLE, Tenn. โ Ole Miss (3-2-1) allowed two goals in a match for the first time this season as they dropped a road match to Lipscomb (4-3-0) Thursday night in Nashville.

Taylor Radecki scored the lone goal in the match, scoring on a second-chance header following a corner kick in the second half.

The Rebels allowed one goal in each half and were outshot 16-11, despite holding the Bison to just five shots in the second half. Shu Ohba made a season-high seven saves in the match, but the two goals allowed were also a season-high.

Lipscomb scored the first two goals of the match, getting on the board first in the 21st minute of play. They held Ole Miss to just four shots and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Bison scored again in the 53rd minute to make it 2-0 in favor of the home team.

In the 68th minute, Ole Miss won a corner kick and after it was served into the box, Aubrey Mister took a header to set up another header from Radecki that found its way into the back of the net to make it 2-1. It was the first goal of the season for Radecki and the first assist of the season for Mister.

The Rebels won the possession battle in the final 20 minutes of play but could not break through for the equalizer.

Ole Miss will play their final non-conference match on Sunday in Oxford against Louisiana Tech.
